So this is the most confusing thing ever for me to figure out....what is a fair hourly rate for doing character designs/storyboards/etc.?? My project is just starting out, and my boss says he doesn't have too much money invested in it *yet*, but I still want to be getting paid at a fair rate. Looking online is just confusing me more...some sites say to charge AT LEAST $35/hour, which seems really high to me, and I don't want my boss to think I'm being completely ridiculous for asking that. I had originally thought I shouldn't go higher than $20/hour....does that seem fair, maybe at least for now?? What do freelance artists charge nowadays?!

Drew for fun today :D Niiice way to de-stress a little amid spending my days off trying to find a big girl job. AND I swear it cured my hangover too ;) hehe. I need to get into the habit of drawing again...it's hard to feel motivated without school, but once I start, I'm like "DUH I NEED TO DO THIS EVERYDAYYYyy." I've been in a really vicious cycle ever since school ended. My day job - in retail - is somehow consuming about 78% of my life. I need to quit in order to really spend the time I need to build up my portfolio, but 6 months have already blown by and as of today I start paying back my student loans. So no quitting my day job. SIGH. I
